Official Launch of Vermicompost Production under SITA-Sponsored Women Empowerment Project at Model Goat Farm

We are delighted to announce the official launch of vermicompost production at our Model Goat Farm, a key initiative under the SITA-sponsored project titled “Integrated Approaches for Women Empowerment through Scientific Organized Goat Farming and Establishment of a Model Goat Farm.” This initiative is being implemented with technical guidance from the Goat Research Station (GRS), Burnihat, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nalbari.

The launch event was graced by Dr. Dipak Bhuyan, Chief Scientist, GRS Burnihat, Assam Agricultural University (AAU), in the presence of several women beneficiaries and members of the Anajori Development Society at Nalbari.

During a demonstration held at Khanapara, Guwahati, our Secretary, Mr. Dipankar Talukdar, showcased the vermicomposting process and symbolically handed over sample packets to Dr. Prabodh Borah, Director of Research (Vety), Dr. B. N. Bhattacharyya, Deputy Director of Research (Vety), and Mr. Nayan Sarma.

This initiative represents a significant step forward in promoting organic farming and sustainable rural livelihoods by integrating scientific goat farming with innovative waste-to-wealth practices.
